You read that correctly: my latest WordPress theme release is my old (you read it, old) site design for Theme Playground. If you’re a feed subscriber (first, thanks!) head on to the website to check it out and let us know what you think.
Without further ado, some info about this new theme.
Theme Playground V1: The Box

Of course I’m pretty proud of this theme. It’s lasted well for me for a few months here, but it’s time to move on.
Key features include:
- Light layout with lots of white space
- Two column, widget ready
- Extra wide by default, scalable to any size (only divs and ems, folks)
- Logo PSD included in theme folder for customization (you better!)
Stuff I like mentioning:
- Includes a print stylesheet (talked about here)
- Fully valid XHTML and CSS (aside from a fix for IE using the *html hack)
- Yellow description box contains the dynamic text from the Options page on the WordPress Dashboard.
- Features menu in the footer as well as the header.
That should be about it. I’m working on getting together a test run of this theme. Until then you can see a full screenshot of it and try looking at the old design over at The Internet Archive.
That should do it. This is the official service thread for this theme, so please post any questions, comments (duh) or technical issues with the theme here. Include the browser, situation, and as many details as possible if you could.

nice theme!
Hey Ryan, it’S looking great, I especially like those classy separators you have. I’m usually not a big fan of brown colors, but I have to say it looks totally awesome (Makes me change my mind regarding the color brown)
Great job!
